Terrazzo refinishing or polishing is a process of using diamond abrasives to grind a new layer of the terrazzo floor. After grinding we use finer diamond abrasives to the desired shine level. We then use a penetrating sealer that penetrates into the terrazzo to help protect from staining. This process will create a natrual shine that does not have a waxy apperance. Another method of terrazzo refinishing is by either cleaning the surface with floor buffers or grinding then applying a film forming sealer to the terrazzo. This process will create a waxy apperance to the floor.
